HELP car shut off 5 times while driving after sub install
UPDATE POST 11. not fixed
First I need to know if I installed the battery cable from battery to powered sub in the right spot. There are 3 bolts with wires already connected to the battery so I just undid the top bolt and added the cable on top of the one already there. Is that the correct spot?

There is a pic of the battery connector in my album photos sense I can't seem to post it. It shows the top bolt I'm talking about and the wires connected to it but I removed the sub power cable from it till I know if its the correct spot
Can add details. B-8p 8 inch 80 watt sub.
Uses speaker level inputs. No prob
Ground: used seat belt bolt, scratched off paint and installed. If this was not done right I imagine the sub would not work which it does fine.
Remote turn on was recommended to wrap around wiper fuse under dash. #45 was what I used, (Wiper relay and module, Blower relay). disconnected after 4th time car died which turned off sub and car still died again.
That just leaves power wire, what could be causing it to kill car?

The red rubber protector is battery "+" (positive), the other is ground. Not sure what you mean by "powered sub"; is this a sub woofer you are refering to? I can't believe it's drawing too much power from the battery to shut it down. Did you install a fuse between this connection of the battery to the powered sub? Is this wre getting warm or hot?

Thanks for the pic. Dead center in pic is where I installed it, right over top of the other wires that trail off to the right.
Yes a powered subwoofer and there is a 25 watt fuse a foot into the line on the power cord from the battery. Nothin really felt hot.

From your symtoms, it almost sounds like the battery is falling below a specified voltage, and the PCM is shutting down. I'm going to read the diagnostic part on this tonight (downloaded the 2011 factory repair manuals). This has me curious.
When the car comes to stop I put in park and have to wait a full minute to restart or it will not crank at all but again have full power the whole time, no dim lights or anything hinting at low power.
UPDATE: NOT FIXED
Was okay for those 3 little drives then happened again and again. Re fixed clamps 3 times with no help. Disconnected power sub wire as well and still happened.
At ford now being looked at and will update.
Of 10 times car shut down in last 2 days 3 were off the line giving it a lot of gas and most of the rest were right after hitting large bumps in the road.

Just got word car is ready, they found a short leading to the PCM and when they followed it down found a peice of a wire underneath the computer causing it. I think I heard that right but I'm not too good at understanding all the electrical stuff he told me ha ha.
