I have a sad update. My passenger seat and rear seats look great. My drivers seat has some cracks from being 2 years old. The red seems to have ran into the cracks. It looks pretty ghetto. You can only see it under direct sunlight but you can see it. If I had a choice, I wouldn't do it again. I think with a brand new car, I would do it. The older seats seem to be a gamble. In my case it was.

That looks awesome man! Great idea and good job. I got the green stitching on my car as well. Breaks up the monotone on the interior.

I don't know. Probably soaked in during application. Didn't notice it till the car was in bright sunlight.

Dude, that sucks. What about getting some leather dye and carefully applying it over the cracked areas?

Thanks a lot! I pretty much got the idea from the roushs, it looks amazing. That's the green I was looking for and I think I found it

It's a good idea. I'm worried I'll make it worse. It looks good unless there is direct sunlight.

Yeah but the only thing that matters is if you know lol. That would drive me crazy. That's why I try not to inspect my car too much for rock chips. The less I know the happier I am.

Yeah I dyed mine red about 4 months ago. Still looks perfect. A lot of people think it came like that from the factory lol.

I thought about getting the white stripe replaced with a red one. But kinda like the red, black and white.

I have the stone leather and would love to dye the stitches red but worried about the stone showing traces of dye. It would not be as forgiving as black. I'd be especially worried on the perforated sections. If any dye got on any of the little holes/perforations I'm pretty sure it would soak it up. I wouldn't do the perforated sections on the seats..but want to do the panels on the doors and they are the same perforated leather as the seat centers. Also, the stone leather stitching looks to be a tan colored thread and not the white like on black seats. Not sure how well it would take the color. Has anyone done this on a stone interior?

I have the white stripe down the center of my seats. You won't be able to do the stitching with out getting it on the lighter leather. And it's not easy to get off. I got a little on the white and had to scrub it. And then recondition the leather. The markers have a thick tip and to color the stitching good have to work into the edges.
Your best option might be to wait to wear out the factory covers and then order some with the red stitching.
