Which Double DIN dash kit?

If this on here somewhere I apologize as I did not see it. I know the thing now is to go with a sound processor and keep the stock HU, but I'm really liking some of the new Pioneer touchscreens, so I'm exploring the option.

For those of you that have gone this route, which dash kit did you use/how do you like it?

The: metra 99-5826ch
or the: scosche fd1441b

I've read a lot of people using the iDatalink ADS-KIT-MUS01 and ADS-MRR and that's the route I was leaning towards. Although I really like to look of the Metra Kit with the separate touch screen up top for environmental controls. I'm just not sure you can get all the features with that the iDatalink system gives you. So far it still seems like I'm going that route. I almost pulled the trigger today because Sonic Electronix has a great price on the DDX7701HD but they don't sell the iDatalink stuff. At least not for the car stereo install. They have some for alarms and remote starts.

I thought you had to have sync for that one to work. Or am I thinking of the wrong one?
