Door panel insert removal?

Can anyone tell me how to remove the door panel insert directly above the armrest on 2012 base convertible? Does it snap out, or will I have to remove the complete door panel? Thanks.

Thanks. I was hoping it would snap apart like the other plastic pieces. Thanks again.

It definitely comes off because I have seen it replaced, like on the MRT Mustang. Next time my door panels are off, I will check!

It may be 'plastic welded' in or whatever it's called. Meaning you might have to cut/drill plastic to remove it. I don't know for sure.

I have been wondering this same ruins because I want to cover mine in suede instead of the pleather that it came with standard. So it will finally match my shift boot I made. I used ultra suede on the shift boot though so I might redo that as well. Shift boot is my build thread in case anyone was wondering.

It's glued in place. Heat gun to the BACK side and some prying might remove it...
