Dipped interior pics

Further to my earlier thread

https://themustangsource.com/f803/hydro-dipping-525194/

here are pictures of the hydro dipped parts in the car.
I’m very pleased with the result, looks like a factory finish.
The leather armrest finishes the job nicely and is much more comfortable when driving.

that looks OEM alright. very nice.

I don't usually like CF treatment of the mustang interior, especially with the cheesy vinyl, but this looks great.

Not the biggest fan of CF either, but it looks very well done. What was cost/install like?

I've used the Dinoc film before (which looked good)- but that looks really amazing!

I've not pulled the trigger on the overlays, because they don't follow the contours well enough. This looks factory though!

Are you happy with which pieces you had done- or are there any other pieces you would have done? The only other things I'd be tempted to do would be the round speaker surrounds and maybe the door latch surrounds.

I am in the UK total cost was £135 ($215) inc postage.
I am now considering doing the door handle backing and the overhead interior light surround and speaker ring surrounds, but concerned it may be overkill.

Very happy with the pieces done – the lacquer after dipping makes the pieces very tough and scratch resistant. The tricky curve by the handbrake (emg Brake) and radion surround are perfectly covered.

That looks amazing.

I wonder if they can do a gloss black. I would love the trim in gloss black.

I would point out a few things about Gloss interior parts:

1) They show EVERY mark, fingerprint, and scuff/scratch.
2) They reflect light badly. Sunlight can make driving very fatiguing.

Just something to consider...

You're right. I forgot how high maintenance it is. I think I'll stick with stock for now. The carbon fiber looks amazing but I don't want to do what everyone else does.

I thought about wrapping stuff with 3M interior vinyl, but I don't know how good it would turn out. I thought about sanding and painting but I know I wouldn't be able to do it good enough, guess I'll just leave things stock for now.

I'm not familiar with their interior vinyl, but unless it is specifically designed for *automotive* interiors, you might want to use a vinyl that's designed for outdoor use, just due to the temperature extremes that a car interior experiences.

The cool thing about vinyl is that it peels off easily, so you can try it and see how you like it. When I had my Mustang racing striped recently, the installer messed up the stripes. A week later I returned to have them redone, and they peeled right off in one piece, no problem.

I wrapped my center console in 3M CF wrap and it turned out pretty good. I will have to wrap it again as a few spots are not up to my OCD standards. I will post pics if anyone is interested. I got it off ebay for $18 shipped..
