Boss 302 aftermarket head unit.
I just bought a Boss 302 which I am loving. I absolutely hate the factory radio though and am looking for something that will sound good, integrate/charge my iPhone and still allow me to use my steering wheel controls. Keep in mind that I am a total audio newbie. I see that we have limited choices for a double din bezel which is pretty much just the Metra now. I am leaning towards these Speakers for the front only for now unless someone recommends something better. I will upgrade the rear later if I feel it is necessary.
For a head unit I am leaning towards something like this for a head unit. My question is how well this head-unit will drive speakers as I want to avoid putting in an amp or Subs. I am not a bass head, I just like clear good sound with a little bass. I am guessing I will need some kind of PAC system to retain steering wheel controls correct?
Thanks in advance for the advice,
Cole

I went with the Metra kit and the Pioneer X930BT, should be installing this weekend. From previous experience the head unit will drive the speakers fine. I don't have any knowledge on the ones you are looking at last set I bought were Pioneer but that was a few years back. I plan on posting some info about the install once I finish it.

Still running OEM 4 Speakers in my 07 but just put in Kenwood DNX7180. It takes some getting used to and a huge drawback is the time it takes to get between menus and selections but it provided enough power (after tuned at the audio install place) to make my stock speakers sound amazing!!! Kenwood makes some great decks end even though Pioneer is highly regarded I've never really been into their stuff because of how cop place it is owning a Pioneer deck. I was also looking at the Clarion NX501 which you should also try checking out!!!

My plan is to use the Pioneer AVIC X920BT that I had had installed in my Bullitt (which I traded in on my B2) and the Scoshe unit. I'm worried about making the steering wheels control work, and I'm hoping that my wired up PAC unit that I used in the installation with the Bullitt (Shaker 1000) will work without rewiring. Also, replacing the front speakers with some Pioneers.
