I want to add the metra faceplate with the touch screen in my 14. I found the wiring adapters that are needed . My question is does the aftermarket head unit need to have Bluetooth or will SYNC handle all those duties ?
will SYNC stream to the after market head unit or do you have to double connect the Bluetooth devices
Any body figure this out ?

You have to add the SYNC interface and steering wheel controls from Metra as well.

 

thanks i get that part about the steering wheel controls and interface, What i want to know is does the new head even need Bluetooth?

 

Not sure if it NEEDs it, but I would get it just to be safe. Almost all aftermarket units have Bluetooth now anyways. Its probably harder to find one without it than with it.
