Started on this today and tested it out, but it didn't work. I will need to talk to tech support to find out what I am doing wrong.

If it was easy, everyone would do it. Thanks again for doing this and helping others.

I did the wiring for the immobilizer, ignition, can hi and low, and the brake wire, but the car is not starting. There is power to the brain box and the button, but I can't figure out why it won't start. I didn't wire up the rest, but I shouldn't have to to get it to start.

I'll be trying to get tech support next week. I'll work on my paddles in the meantime.

Yup, I am certain I wired it all up properly. I can get the car to turn on accessory, but not start the car. Nor will remote start work. I can hear the brain module clicking away, though.

Anyone here with remote start installation experience? Especially with using the idatalink ALCA?

Cheers

Is is even trying to crank? If not, almost sounds like a bad ground for the ignition?

I think the problem is with the immobilizer. Can't get the car to recognize that there is a 'key'. I've got the bypass set up as instructed, but nothing happens. Wires to CAN hi and CAN low as well as brake are set up too.

OK, some success today.

i hooked up the brain module and used the 'key in the box' bypass and start button and wired to where Easygo suggested.

I can start the car without the OEM key using the start button as long as the new FOB is in the car.

I cannot remote start the car yet.

At least I got the car to start.

Here is a video of the button in action. No key in the ignition, only using the new fob.

Success!!

I have now gotten the Easygo start button and remote start to both work using the 'key in the box' bypass. No more using the OEM keys.

However, I wanted to use the idatalink module instead of the 'key in the box'. With the idatalink, I can start the car, but not remote start it.

So the kit absolutely works, and I will give a complete how to on it in the coming days, but if you want to use the idatalink, I am still trying to figure out why I can't get it to remote start with it.

That's awesome and so convenient. I wanted to do this 4 years ago but my wiring skills suck. Did you have to do anything to the factory alarm for the keyless start to work?

Wiring skills won't be a problem.

I got it to work properly, but I am now trying to get the system to work with idatalink. If you buy this, idatalink is not needed, but I chose to use it as I didn't want the 'key in the box' bypass.

The alarm is replaced by on from Easygo. But idatalink may allow both.

Looks like Digital Guard Dawg has a plug and play system specifically designed for the 2010-2014 mustangs.

I went with Easygo because I liked their FOB and the placement of the button. It was also cheaper than the Guard Dawg.

I just checked and seems fine?

Tech support is definitely still there as I just talked to them today and got e-mails from them.

hmmm, that's weird. I was clicking on the link yesterday and it went to godaddy website saying this domain has expired. I just clicked on it now and its working again.

Sorry I haven't posted the how to yet. I'll try for this weekend.

I will say that the install instructions suck. Should anyone go with these guys, at least I have it completely figured out using either the 'key in the box' or the idatalink.

Wiring is not so bad. Pretty much the wiring goes to the SJB, with the T-harness going to the steering column. The ignition tumbler and the ignition module have to come out, though. Everything is completely reversible, by the way, in case you wanted to go back to OEM.
