Adding subs
Thanks for the Help man, still a touch confused but haven't researched it muchX once I check it out I'll understand.
Not against splicing but if it can be avoided and ripping apart dash avoided, that's a huge plus. If I wanted to use your first recommendation I'd have to access the back of the head unit also to run a sub and amp right?

I would hook a line out converter to the signals coming out of the door sub amp, which is in the drivers footwell. That why you only get the bass signal going to the sub.
Tapping into the rear speakers sounds like the best idea. I think I can find a 12v RTO source elsewhere besides the radio...can you still pinch behind the fuses?

Use an add-a-tap on a 12v switch power source for the RTO. The passenger footwell fuse box has a few.
