You did change to the appropriate harness, yes? Double check all connectors are pushed in?
also, your screen may be toast. Did you test the screen separately?

So it looks like I have everything the only thing I’m needing is the wire hardness with nav I have a 2014 mustang gt. If I call the dealership they should be able to give me that part number right?.

Reach out to Lexiion and see if he has anything to add.
I'll reach out to Lexiion, but I forgot to mention (and i don't know if this helps at all) but if I leave the temperature at 85 or 90 degrees and shut off the car, cold air will blow when I start it back up and I can adjust the temperature. If I leave it at anything else (below 85) hot air will blow until I turn it back up to 85 or 90.

Nothing brave about it.

It is fun and satisfying to mod our cars. Some like just modding the performance aspect, we like this sort of stuff. I like ripping out the dash, rewiring stuff and turning on the car and having it work. Puts a smile on my face.

Here is the climate harness ( DR3T 18B574 G281T BB) that I have been having problems with. If anyone has theirs available, do you notice any differences?

I am just now finally attempting this. However, when plugging in the new harness in place I noticed the connector to the immobilizer module by the ignition switch is different. I have a 2014 GT Premium. Came out of nowhere.

That is strange. According to my diagrams, the connectors are the same. I'll have to double check.

You can always just take the wires and pins out, get the proper plug from ford and insert them into the new plug.

I can re-use the plug from the original harness and put it in the new one right? there is no reason why that wouldn't work I dont think. maybe ford revised the immobilizer and mine is older? or maybe newer? very strange

It is the motor for the passenger side blend door. Not sure of the official name for it. If you did not get the evaporator box for dual climate, then you need to plug the the connector for the driver's side into this one. There is no motor on the driver's side on single climate zone.

It is called the Mode door actuator - air inlet door. It's plug comes from the climate control harness.

Only the defroster plug comes directly from the dash harness.

For anyone experiencing the climate controls being backwards, I believe I have solved the issue. First let me thank everyone who has been helping.

This was my problem. I was reading the posts and for some reason, I thought you had to plug in the driver side blend door connector from the new climate harness to the blend door. I did not upgrade to dual zone so I only had the one blend door on the passenger side. If you look at the wires for the blend door on the original climate control harness and compare them to the wires of the driver side blend door on the new climate control harness, they are the same. That is why the controls are backwards with the original harness and plugging the driver side blend door connector to the passenger side.

What I was suppose to do was forget about the driver side blend door connector on the new climate control harness and plug the passenger blend door connector to the passenger side blend door.

I also pulled fuse #15 for one minute then put back in to reset the climate module.

If you are wondering how I was able to plug in the connector that goes around the back of the hvac unit, I simply cut it on the passenger side and connected the wires there on the new harness. As I was re-reading the entire post, it hit me when Jim was saying that he ran the wires in front of the hvac unit. I thought to myself, why would he do that, then I knew.

VIN Update

Is there any way to update the VIN information in the navigation to my actual VIN? When installed I would like the system to appear as OEM as possible and still run vehicle health reports if possible.

As a note, 4DTech no longer provides any services for our systems.

Really? Mine did not.

If it bothers you, United Radio in New Jersey would do it for you.

Okay guys I'm currently doing this swap and purchased a harness from a set that was pulled out of a car. Will that harness work or will I have to get a new one? If I need a new one can someone help me get the correct one?

Hey guys add another swap to the list! Just did it on my 2014 and everything works great! This thread is a little dead now but ill still leave this hear, I do have an extra harness that came with the Nav for a 2013 if anyone would like to use it. Ill let it go for cheap if someone else would like to use it rather than buy new. Thank you to the OP for making this thread and helping everyone out!
