I have a 2013 with the Shaker system in it. I hated the way it sounded at first, but I adjusted the EQ and now its A LOT more tolerable. I set the bass at 2 notches below middle, and the treble at 2 notches from highest. It still thumps and the mids/highs are a lot cleaner without the bass distorting it. Try it out!

I have spent countless hours sitting in my GT (even 2 in the morning) just being amazed at the way this thing sounds. I am not an audiphile, but car and (HOME Stereo) stereo have always been a passion of mine and on the top of my list for purchasing any new car over the years and I am totally satisfied. It blows the doors of the stock Shaker 500 system which has VERY MUDDY BASS and the treble notes are very dull. This system is so crisp and clear and solid and tight bass that I am a very satisfied customer and have spent my $1300 well!! You should listen to one first before you order you new car without it and settle on that inferior Stock system. It's going to cost you a fortune later on to tear out your dash and door panels, etc and you still might no be happy with an aftermarket.
Just my opinion. As long as I am ecstatic, that is all that matters.
Good Luck with what ever you do.

Alright well Im new here so ill start by saying Hi, my names Andy.
Ok so i have the shaker pro audio and it sounds good but nothing compared to what i had in my F150. (Infinity comps, jl xd400, 2 polk audio 1240's, and some other goodies) Anyways to my point, i took the door of today to look into replacing the 8's subs in the doors and the 6x8 ( 5 1/2's and a tweeter) Well the cut out in the door is not a normal 6x8 hole is miss shaped and is uneven. So im trying to figure out how to get a bracket that will make it possible to mount a normal 6x8 in the hole. I cant find a way to take the stock speaker apart and just use its bracket without destroying it. Also the 8" sub will be nearly impossible to change out and keep it looking stock. Has anyone with the shaker pro had a chance to mess with this? Any help would be great.

Andy,
If you can find the door speakers off any 05-12 mustang, you can reuse that bracket. Until then you will either have to make your own or wait for an aftermarket company to produce one.

Forget ebay, just check your local junk yard. I doubt they would want more than $5 for the pair if you removed it yourself.
You'll still have to do a bit of cutting with a utility knife to make a 6X8 bracket fit, but it's a soft plastic that's pretty easy to cut through and you'll just need to cut off a couple of tabs and a notch or two for the 5.25" screws to fit in.
I just got done mounting a set of Polk Audio DB5251s in my doors using Metra 825601 adapter plates. It only took about 5 minutes to complete all of the cutting to make the adapter plates fit on the bracket.
PS, mounting the crossover for component speakers seems to be an issue for some reason. I found that it was extremely easy to mount the crossovers in the top portion of the interior door panel directly above the back of the arm rest. I've seen a lot of people using industrial or construction adhesives, but I found that velcro tape works just as well, and has the added advantage of allowing me to easily remove the crossover should I ever need to. The velcro tape I bought at the grocery store, and it only cost me about $5 for enough to mount 4 crossovers. (Two for the Polk Audio DB5251 and two for the Polk Audio MM571s I put in the rear)

Can anyone help me?
Last Friday I got my new GT 2013 MT82 Premium with Shaker Pro Audio.
When I press the sound button there is no option Shaker On / Off like in my previous GT 12 Shaker 1000... Can anyone told me if this is correct or my 13 GT needs some programming?
Regards

Well the Shaker 1000 had 2 10s while the Shaker Pro has 1 10, with the same power going through it. Of course the 1000 would seem more powerful...
