I have a 2012 Mustang GT that I installed a premium 13-14 steering wheel on. I programmed the as built data and got the volume buttons to work, but cruise control buttons on the 13-14 have different resistances, so I bought the premium cruise control buttons for a 11-12. I put them in and now have no cruise control. The base model buttons worked and even though the buttons were different, I could still turn on cruise control. Am I missing something? I figured the wiring was the same for the premium wheels and really would like everything to work! Thanks in advance!

According to the pinpoint test it needs a new switch pack as there is no codes and the other one works. But is there a difference in going from a base model steering wheel to a premium steering wheel when it comes to the cruise control?

I didn't think about it since I had the battery disconnected when I was doing it since I had the airbag out at the time. I can try that when I get home. It's so weird cause on the base wheel cruise worked perfect. I put the 13-14 premium wheel in and cruise still worked but the buttons were mapped wrong like decel was turn on etc. Now the 11-12 premium buttons I ordered and put in don't work at all. I just hope it's not something dumb that I'm overlooking.

 

Its been a while. Are you still trying to solve this?
