Before the program, I plugged in the cluster to Make sure everything was working. One thing the cluster had was my color. Once I had the cluster programmed to the car, I noticed it was no longer there.

Well they reprogramed it they probably installed the "as built" data into the cluster and being a base GT you dont have My Color. They would have probably reprogram the computer and cluster with the upgraded My Color option. Just a guess.

Correct ...

You will need to get the VIN from a 2010 Mustang GT with MY COLOR. Your dealer tech will then need to use the AS BUILT data from that car to update the cluster in your car.

They will need to print out the as built data and manually key it in .. If you look through the thread about our 2013 Cluster swap into a 2012 .. you will see how you can look up the AS BUILT data yourself .. but tech will still need to program it for you.

You can use this VIN. It is from a 2010 car that has the nav, heated seats and the rear view camera, but also has the mycolor.

Here is the AS BUILT the tech should load in your Cluster based on the VIN above.

No. It is part of the main dash harness. You need to create the wire harness yourself.

Ok. I guess I'll have to research the wiring diagrams.

The wires are coming from the gauge cluster. Look at the sticky retrofit thread. Jim exactly mentioned the two wires from the IPC connector that need to be fed to the info buttons. The Info buttons also have a light connection, you may just splice them in from the light switch.

Need info on this swap... have a 12 gt base and want ti install a 12 gt500 cluster.

Have a 2012 Base GT, I want to replace the gauge cluster with a 2012 GT500 which i already have. What all is needed to perform the swap? I know PATS needs to be done with both oem keys. Have a shop that has the VCM tool. Shop tried to do the PATS but couldnt get by the inmmobilizer. Have a VIN and as built data off of a 12 GT500. Need help with this and will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
