2010 Mustang GT base stereo replacement - carry over from old forum
The thread revolved around when we would have available a dash kit to allow for 3rd party stereos when only the base 4 speaker setup is installed.
Currently there are carbon fiber and dress up dash kits available on ebay, but no kit for 3rd party stereos.. When these start becoming available, please chime in! I would love to upgrade my stereo but obviously can't...

Time to update my own thread LOL. Seems like a lot of folks looking at it, so I figured others might be interested. It's finally here, but it is pricey..

I all ready emailed Metra Electronics regarding ETA and will report back when I hear from them..

The screen is definitely questionable.. especially for the price.
The sales manager for the midwest sent me a better pic than the one in the link and the screen looks better. The image in my link looks really grainy.
ETA is 4 weeks if there are no production hiccups.

I actually think that looks great. That just may get me to forgo the Electronics Pkg and make me order an '11 the way I want it minus that option. I can get stereo equipment at cost at my old job so this is awesome news!

That would be the smart way to go. My 2010 GT500 Navi is already outdated by the new MyFord system. In just one year!

Hey guys,
New to the forum and I am dealing with the same situation. Just bought my wife a 2010 base convertible. I have seen the bezel that is listed above and I think it is a terrible place for the nav screen to be. It is too low(JMO). I am also a member of a corvette forum and I had a bezel made for my c5 to accept a nav head unit. I have talked to the member that made it and he thinks he can modify a stock mustang bezel to accept the double din nav screen. As soon as I get it done I will post pics. If anyone is intersted, let me know and I will get you his name and contact info. This will put the DDIN opening right below the message center instead of at the bottom in front of the shifter.

I would have preferred to see the buttons at the bottom and the H/U opening higher up... One missed shift, NTM I feel like you will have to look to far "down" when driving.
