It ends up being a strip.

I personally think a really dark strip looks ricey, so I didn't get mine tinted.
I first got the idea for my personal car here in Phoenix when all the NASCAR drivers were blacking out the tops of the windshields 20 years ago.. My good friend, a AZ DPS officer said that if they find complete tinted front windshields, they red tag the car and call the tow truck. So I stay away and just do a strip across the front, larger than factory but here in the deset it makes a huge difference..

15% 3M film all around. Picked up the car Thursday and made an appointment Saturday to get the tint done. Everyone of my cars did and will always have tint!

Window Tint Back Window

I love the look of any window tint but from past experience it makes it much harder for me to see out of at night and distorts / blurs rear view mirror vision, especially at night. Anyone notice this or is it just my old eyes?

I'm in Phoenix too and have been wrangling on what I should do about the windshield. Considering how many times I get pulled over, maybe I should just do the AS1 line. Where did you get yours done? I found two places that stock 3M, and both are considerably more than other cities. I was even considering driving up to Flagstaff...

I am getting the tints done next weekend and have a few questions. I know that the legal limit is 35, at least in KS, but am not terribly worried about surpassing that within reason.

1. Should I do 35 all around or go darker?
2. What should I look for after it is done to make sure there are no issues?
3. Are there any brands or qualities of tints I should avoid?

Thanks for the help.
I've got 20% all around on my car and love it. Not too dark that you can see out at night and still looks great from the outside during the day. 35 is too light, you almost can't tell they're tinted.

mine with 20% - I'm in SC where they don't really care about window tint. Or any other laws for that matter...
