What color stripes? Matte black or shiny?

Gents,

I'm looking to get stripes on my 14 sterling gray 5.0. I can't decide if I want to go with matte black or shiny vinyl stripes.

The plan is to have GT500 stripes (2 10" rallies 2" apart) with a pin stripe on the outside (maybe 0.5" stripes, 1" from the stripes... Something like that).

I heard you can't wax over matte stripes. But don't the GT500 have matte stripes? Or are they shiny? I've also heard that shiny stripes show defects much easier.

What are your thoughts? What looks better?

Thanks everyone!

Steve

I like the looks of matte a lot better BUT it is a little tricky waxing around them. Scott

I love the matte as well. I also like the idea of colour-matching the stripes, but having them matte.

Problem with the Matt Black on Sterling Silver - difficult to see. Most people don't even notice my factory stripes, unless they are standing next to the car. Black is the color if you want to go subtle. I'm pondering going with Silver stripes to get some more contrast.
