just completed my stripes

Hey all, picked up the kit for 109 and didn't feel it right to pay a few $100 to have it installed. I took on the challenge with really no experience in vinyl.

Overall it turned out straight, with just a few small bubbles in some areas. I'm told they should go away in a week or so, and if not I'll have to take a needle to the corner of the bubble and softly squeeze it out.

Updated pictures are attached. Enjoy

Great Work! We use the tip of an x-acto knife and make a very tiny cut to let the air out of the big bubbles. Park out in the sun and the small ones will disappear in a few days. Keep us updated.

Looks good, I like the color combo. I striped mine last weekend as well, pretty easy if you take the time. Gotta laugh at the guys that insist you have to pay a pro to do it for you.

Are you meaning the hash marks on the side somewhat like the Saleen or Roush? Or do you mean adding Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Stripes to your Ford Mustang?

Loving the stripes AND that you did them yourself! Nice!

It took me about 6 hours total. By the end, I did the roof completely by myself, and it turned out better then the rest.

I started with a wet application, but it was taking a long time for the vinyl to settle, which was a huge issue when it came to the small .5in outer stripes. By the end I was only slightly moistening the car(sprayed it then wiped it off except for a small layer)
