Spoiler delete anyone?
I ordered spoiler delete. I think it looks better and makes the car easier to clean. I once read somewhere that spoilers are the side skirts and white walls of the 90s. I couldn't agree more.
I'm going spoilerless, I don't like the GT's standard spoiler. If the pedestal spoiler was a no-cost option I might have taken it, although I suspect it may interfere with rear visibility a little. The GT500 spoiler looks nice, but I don't need it. I decided I'd rather put my money into SHR flush mount quarter window louvers than into a spoiler.
There has to be something that can be done with the satellite antenna to either move it or make it less noticeable.
But yes, on the black car it doesn't show as much as on some contrasting color car since it is black too.
My Dad has an aftermarket satellite radio in his truck and the antenna is mounted inside the windshield on the dash and he never has any signal reception problems.

I'd rather have a body-color painted sharkfin style antenna on the roof, incoporating both radio and sat, than the fricken huge black bump on the trunklid (and just wait until you wax the car and get it on the black plastic; it will look like crap). They could put the painted ones from the Lincolns on there too. It can't cost that much more to paint them, especially if they use them on all the cars and trucks.
Or, better yet, just incorporate them into the windshields like everyone else...

I can see it pretty easily still, but since it is one of my pet peeves about the car, it stands out to me quite a bit. At least on black it stands out the least since it is the same color as the rest of the car, unfortunately with spoiler delete on any other color, it is that much more noticeable.
If/when I order one I'll be getting spoiler delete, my first color choice would be Sterling Gray, but if I decide I can't live without the Premium Package, I may go with black instead to minimize the visual stink that is the trunk wart. Even then I may get it shaved or get another wartless trunklid and have it painted to match.

I'm pretty certain it's designed for aesthetics rather than functionality. It may provide some increased downforce at some speed, but if I'm right, it's not really engineered for it.
Very few spoilers out there are actually designed to provide a functional benefit. Those used in professional racing, a few aftermarket versions, and some of the spoilers on very high-end performance cars.

I went with a spoiler because I don't like any of the factory choices, and had planned to get a Steeda Race Wing but they don't make them for the 10 or 11. My next choice was a Boy Racer wing from 3D carbon and wouldn't ya know it they don't make one for the 10 or 11. So I'll have to go spoilerless or put on a duckass spoiler.
The spoiler is fine.
My preference is the increased performance from no spoiler, for less drag and less weight.
Mine is ordered w/o the spoiler.
It would be great if Ford could figure out how to put the sat "hockey puck" inside the rear view mirrors like on the Corvette and the stalk AM/FM inside the glass like everyone else.
