Rim and Suspension Possible Change.

Ok so first off, I have the BMR SP009 springs. It only lowers the car 1 inch in the front and 1.25 in the rear. When i bought them it was advertised at 1.25 in front and 1.75 in rear. So I am probably going to go with steeda ultralights. I believe those are 1.25 and 1.5 and I want a little lower than I have.

Second, I am thinking about buying

http://www.performanceplustire.com/b...im?size=19x8.5

Few Questions
1. I want to re-use my stock tires which are the track pack tires. 255/40 Pzeros. What would be the best stagger setup that would fit on these tires? 19x8.5 and 19x10.5?
2. You guys think the Bronze would look good on my sterling gray Mustang?
3. Anyone selling these used? They are about 300 per wheel new, which is not to bad for forged light wheels.

IMO...if you're gonna stagger your wheels, you should also stagger the tires, as well. I don't think you can stretch a 255 on a 10.5 inch wheel safely. It can go on a 8.5, a 9.0, and possibly a 9.5. But that's it. I really like the Boss 302 LS set-up:
19 x 9, 255/40 19 front, 19 x 10, 285/35 19 rear. This is the set-up I have, and I think it looks and fits fantastic. Now, for lowering, if you don't want to have to start swapping out additional under-carriage-equipment (panhard bar, caster/camber plates, strut mounts, LCA's, etc.), then don't lower your vehicle any more than you already have it. Any more and you'll have to replace a lot of other stuff, $$$. I lowered my car (Eibach kit) 1" front, 1.5" rear, and I did not have to replace or adjust any other parts. Just my thoughts...

Thanks, So maybe I will do a 8.5 and a 9.5 stagger setup? That should work fine on my stock tires right? Also I already have ford racing shocks and struts, panhard bar, LCA, Camber Bolt, Strut Mounts... etc. So it is going to be just a spring swap.

Great that you already have the updated ancillary equipment, so yes, you may go lower with no issues. Just be careful not to go too low so that your tires rub or the ride quality is poor. As for wheel width, you should double-check with Ford or TireRack if 255 can stretch safely onto 9.5" wheel. I know it works well on 8.5 and 9.0, but I'm not 100% sure about 9.5. Perhaps you should consider biting the bullet and buying wider tires for the rear...maybe 275 or 285...? After all, that is the purpose of a staggered set-up...both wider wheel and wider tire. Much improved stance and handling.

Well, like I said earlier, the Boss 302 Laguna Seca set-up is 19 x 9, 255/40 19 front, 19 x 10, 285/35 19 rear. I went with this exact set-up, because I knew it would fit perfect, look great, and I would not have to modify anything to get them in. IMO, if you're gonna improve wheel/tire, and you want staggered, go 9.0" in front. Rear can be 10.0" or 10.5", depending upon size availability in the wheels you want. This way you can use your existing 255/40 tires for the front, have a spare set for the front, and buy rears at 275, 285, or 295.

Good idea, I will do 19x9 in the front and keep the stock tires than do 10x5 in rear and just get two new rear tires and keep the rears as spares for the front. Thanks for the advice. Just need to sell my brembo wheels now haha.
