quarter / Rear Window Louvers?

I have a 2013 GT performance white with California special package and I was thinking about getting the MRT rear louvers and the quarter window louvers, but had some questions / wanted opinions. Pictures of car are attached to post.

1. removal: I know you can lift up the rear MRT louvers for cleaning, and pull off the OEM quarters for cleaning, but what if I want to remove them completely if I put them on and hate them? Is it hard to get the glue / tape or whatever is used for installation off of the car? Then if I want to put them back on, I assume I can just get more glue type stuff or another kit? Basically, is it easy to change looks every 6 months / year depending on my mood? I assume it would only take an hour or 2 to install / remove them.

2. color: I Can get the OEM quarter louvers painted performance white or leave them black. Was thinking have them paint matched, then plastidip them if I want them black. Think this is best way to go about it? There is alot of black/gray on my car from the cali package so I think black might look good instead of white. What are your thoughts?

3. Think this will look good or lame on my car? I'd go all or nothing, quarters + rear or nothing at all (current look). one day I want them bad, other days think maybe it will look over the top, which is why I asked about removal completely.

thanks for viewing!

Nice looking car! I'm not a fan of rear louvers! I think its lame and kill the looks of any car! As for the quarter window I also have a 2011 HP I think this is a good fit for this color!

I'm planing to get this quarter window and match it with a carbon mirror cover!

IMHO Quarter louvers should be color matched. If you get rear louvers (I wouldn't), leave them black.

I'm the same way about it. Some days I'm crazy or it, other I'm not. I haven't bitten the bullet on this purchase yet but I think I'm goin to soon. I would generally say black but for yours your idea of dipping when you want it black white when you want white and removing it often as you said will bring you 3 looks, that might be kind of cool. Go for it!

I went with Black 1/4 window louverswith my SGM, but I already had the Black mirror covers with the V6 Performance Package. So far everyone that has commented on it likes it.

Not a big fan of the rear louvers, they were on my 72 Gran Torino Fast back when I got it and were promptly removed when I got to the house after buying it.
BTW the tape on the OEM comes off the window with a box cutter, and I bought the 3m Dual Lock tape at Wal-Mart to install mine, 1X2 inch pieces and cut them to fit the OEM 5/8 wide stuff.

I agree there, the flush mount louvers are by far the best looking ones out there.
Installation is more complex, but the results are worth it!

I have the rear window louvers on 2 of 3 Mustangs in the family and third will get them this summer. Car is much cooler inside and I like the look. Don't have the side windows louvers as they block looking out the windows for intersection viewing.

I have MMD classic style ones that I got from AM. Easy to put on, took 5 minutes. Good part about them is that I can still see out of them for the sake of checking my blindspot, but you can't see in them from the outside. I love the way it makes my car look.
