Just to be accurate, it was the Ford GT40 race cars that beat up Ferrari, etc and tore up records at LeMans (and basically everywhere else in the 60's). The Ford GT is just a modern tribute to those cars, without an impressive racing pedigree (though cool none the less).

This is the real stuff:

Those look freaking AMAZING. Is this a new style of stripe or did you come up with this on your own??

Pretty cool, they look really nice.

"mikeyt03" Beware about wanting Boss stripes. Just for the hood the cost is $1150+ about another $700 for the sides and backs. You may not think that's a lot but for me I am blown away at the cost just for stripes.

Actually, Shelby American started it when they mated a Ford 289 with the A/C Bristol in 1965. Most people back then would see an A/C and say, "So what?" When they saw the "Powered By Ford" badge on the fenders, they KNEW it was a Cobra, and the ohhs/ahhs would start, mostly because someone had put a Ford motor into a little aluminum bodied roadster.

This may not change your outlook, but at least now you're better educated.

I have the new style PBF badges on the side of my car. They cost me $48 (and are normally $135). I'm sure vinyl would have been cheaper, but I like the chrome badge better.

You can have them made cheaper than you can buy them from Ford.
