Painting hood bump matte black...just top, or whole thing?

I am going in for some matte black paint work next month on my kona blue.
Decklid between the taillights, stock spoiler, and hood bump.

Originally I was just going to do the top of the hood bump, like the Boss's. (matte though, not glossy)

But then I'm thinking it would look good with the whole hood bump painted. (sort of like this, but without the gaps)

What does everyone think?
Has anyone done this yet, or have pictures?

Thanks.

I have black matte stripes, but mine is SG. I don't think black on Kona is gonna work, IMO. White is the only color that I think works on Kona for what you wanna do.

I would like black and only on top like the Boss. I'd be interested to hear how much they are charging for the rear decklid.

Try a vinyl overlay. Then if you don't like it, you can peel it off.

I was also thinking of doing the same thing. I have my spoiler painted flat black already and i love it. But i have the white "U" stripe on my hood. Doesnt really fit with what im doing to the car. SO i ordered the same stripe in dark grey, if they can cut it. I may have to do matte black, waiting to hear back from the place i ordered it from. Im also doing the spears on the sides of the hump the same way. That way if i dont like it, i can just peal it off. And of i do like it i may peel it off and have it painted i dont know, but thats the beauty of doing something temporary first to see if you like it!

There is a picture that someone photoshopped of a kona Boss with matte black stripes, roof, hood.
That inspired me.
I was quoted $850 for the decklid, spoiler, roof, and top of hood bump.
When I decided against doing the roof right now, it came down to $385.

I ordered the magnetic decklid blackout to get an idea of what matte will look like on my kona.
So far I like it.
Right now I think I'm going to do the top of the hood bump. Keep it like the Boss, only matte instead of glossy.

I like the subtle-ness of the matte against kona. Subtle, but aggressive.
That's my plan, anyways.

Thanks for the thoughts, guys.

I found a Roush Stage 2 that was white with the thin blue roush stripe on the hood bump with the hood spears as well and i was DIGGIN it. It had gaps between the middle strip and the stripes but it looked cool. With Kona im thinking either white, or silver! I have the white now and i dont like it so i would say silver. That would look cool!
