I have no idea why I didn't think of that... Will the gurney flap still work even if the spoiler is on a GT instead of a 500? Someone told me it needs wiring to work.

ha, no. it's just basically a plastic flap with or without a slight lip to it.

Any other good spoilers that you would recommend, the only 3 I know about are the California special (I don't want to drill into my trunk, an I don't really like pedestal spoilers) the GT500, and the RTR spoilers

all sorts of aftermarket ones out there if you look. check latemodelrestoration, steeda, CDC, Ford, etc. to see what they've got.

Gurney flap, as in Dan Gurney the auto racing great who first came up with the idea, is intended to be an adjustable trim tab that allows adjustment of the down force at speed. If you are working with a non-oem spoiler with a non-functional Gurney flap, then you may as well paint it the same color as the spoiler body.

The v6 jab was just towards that user, I actually love all mustang drivers equally, if they are nice that is.

I have actually made a mistake in describing what I have, Since I don't have the OEM GT500 spoiler I don't have a gurney flap. I have the 3d carbon gt500 one and i want to paint where the gurney flap would be.

My opinion for you is do what you think is best and what makes you happy.
Maybe do a paper cut out with the colour you were thinking of painting it.... Stand back it see if you can live with it or not.

Well, I've checked the sites, I've narrowed it down to the RTR, Unpainted GT500, or the OE unpainted spoiler. I like the Boss 302 spoiler, but have only been able to find the LS, which is different...

Regular boss spoiler is just a standard GT spoiler, LS spoiler is the same as the GT/CS.

I knew about the GT/CS being the same as the LS, I thought the Boss had a bit bigger spoiler, maybe it was because the Boss was white and the spoiler was black, so it looked a bit bigger, idk.

Nope, same unit, just black no matter the color of the car.

yes it does.

But what I ended up doing today was took some green painters tap and did a quick mock up of what i wanted to do, and it doesn't really flow well so I'm going to skip that idea.

First, I was merely responding to the OP's criticism of my spelling correction and lack of advice for his first-world conundrum (and I still don't care what he does to his Gurney flap because it ain't my car).

Second, the V6 "problem" is in the process of being addressed, but probably the way most modern "car guys" would consider a waste of time/effort, so I'm not going to get into it here. Suffice it to say that the parts have been ordered, and it doesn't include the phrase "power adder".
