OEM 18x8 wheels vs OEM 19X9

Right now I have the factory stock 18x8 wheels with the stock 235/50 18 tires. I want to purchase some used 19x9 oem wheels. I don't have the brembo package. My car is not lowered, do you think this is worth getting? I'm doing it just for looks, I actually heard it hurts performance a bit cause of weight?

The 19s are heavier, tires are more expensive, and it's harder to find tires to fit 19s. You could always lower your car if it's the gap you dislike.

18" wheels look kind of small for this car, 18" wheels on lets say a 370z is fine cause the Z is a small car, but the Mustang is bigger.

Go 20 or leave it alone. Not worth it.

19s fit the proportions of the car perfectly, IMO. 20s are over the line.

I went from the stock Prem 19" wheels to SVT 18" and have no regrets, good luck finding tires on the shelf for 19's.

True, and if i remember correctly, you can fit a 275 on a 19x9. Get some better traction, have the ability to rotate tires, and have a decent stance. Can someone confirm on all that?

I said this because its hard to find tires for 19s. The 20s are a lot easier overall. I personally have never owned a stang with larger wheels than 18x10. I like that size.

Yes you can. 275s are as wide as you can safely go on 9" wide wheels.

I'd say it is, personally I have staggered 20s but have u considered the black Brembo wheels? They would transform your car completely paired with lowering springs

I got a set of the 19" for mine. It definety looked better! I just pulled them off today for winter and put the 18" back on. I got a set of Brembo rims this week cheap with sensors with some mild curb rash (just the finish) that I'm going to redo in matte charcoal for next winter. I'm doing RTR wheels for summer next year, and putting Brembo brakes on my 10'.

I just finished putting the 19's on mine. I shopped around the BEST I could and if I had to do it again I would have went for 20's the wheel wells on this car are humongous. I spent:
Brembo wheels-550
Tires-830 ( -80 Rebate) 750.00
Install-135

1435.00 You can save up a little more and go aftermarket.
