That's pretty cool. Is that for the real gas cap or the false one on the back of the car.

There's a video on YouTube about removing the old center area with a screw and popping the piece out with pliers. Supposedly, you can sustain damage to the chrome trim by trying to pry the old one off with a putty knife and such. Just trying to help!

Very nice, I was looking into the 5.0 cap replacement a while back but I didn't know they did custom work. I don't want to copy yours since we're in the same general area so I was thinking about getting one from them with the Texas star identical to the custom license plate you can get. I emailed them for a quote.
I was reading through there instructions on how to remove the Faux gas cap and doesn't look to bad, how did you remove yours?

Yes please. Can someone elaborate clearly on tips and tricks for how to do it? Am extremely worried about scratching or breaking or both lol

Here is the basic thread and pdf I followed to replace mine

http://www.fastfordmuscle.com/index....p-install-diy/

http://emblempros.com/i/u/10012033/f...ux_gas_cap.pdf

The entire middle section of the gas cap has to be cut out, It is domed and the GT is molded into it.

The whole process wasn't hard, just took a couple of hours.

For the emblem, I just did a quick sketch and emailed it to emblempros, we worked it out and I love the final version.

wow.. liked that.. nice install.. i purchased lot of stuff earlier from emblempros for my engine bay. they come out good.. only thing u need to be careful is when you wipe clean be gentle on the metal carving or else they'll get caught in micro fiber n get pulled out.

very true, you can't be rough with it. Since the emblems are not molded in, they can be pulled off. Maybe someone will come up with a magnetic system, you could have differnt emblems......hmmmm
