Need help matching factory stripes

I just went to an auto customer guy who does stripping. I told him I wanted side stripes to match the factory over the top mat flat black stripe on my 2013 GT. He looked at my factory stripe and said he can't match it because it appears to have metalic stuff in it, it is not just mat black. He showed me a sample of the flat black stripe material he uses and indeed it was diferent.

So does anyone know of an after market site that sells stripes that match a 2013 GT or know the brand and part number of the material Ford uses? Thanks.

And I heard the Boss stripes are reflective at night so I guess they are not exactly the same although it may be cool to have reflective stripes on the sides!

I too wish Ford would have done a little more with the over the top stripe for the 2013's. At the very least they could have extended it over the front grille shell like the Boss 302. Extended it down the back of the car would have been welcomed as well.

However, the more I look at it the more I like it. In my mind a muscle car just isn't complete without some sort of stripes on it, and I intended to get the over the tope stripe on my GT Premium if and when I order it.

My feelings exactly. For a hot car, you need stripes. Otherwise it looks too plain and boring, doesn't have the character I am after.

I too liked the stripes I had on my 2006 Bumper edge to bumper Edge. I ordered the OTT top stripes for my 2013 also with the intent of finishing off the stripes bumper to bumper edge. Since then the stock stripe look has grown on me. Will save my $$ on other types of mods..

UPDATE - To those of you wanting to add matching stripes to a 2013 that already has the black factory over the top stripes....

I ordered samples from Avery and 3M, I asked for matte black. I got the samples and with my eyes, I believe the Avery 700 series (HP-700-180-O) is real close to the factory stripe, if not the same. Only "problem" with it is it is a "calendar" stripe which is not as durable as the cast stripe. Cast stripes last longer and are not prone to peeling as the calendar material is.

I am going to have my stripe guy order some and put the GT rocker panel stripes on ASAP.

P.S. If you want the pns of the other Avery and 3M stripe material I received, let me know.

Anyone know where I can find matte black reflective (3m) cast stripes? Is bobwhitedecals the only source?
Specifically looking for stripes with the same dimensions as the Gt500 OTT and rocker stripes. I believe the 13 stripes are all gloss but not positive
