I bought the MMD satellite radio antenna cover from American muscle. I know it's a small thing but that black bump on my shiny red trunk drove me nuts. Now it's visually smooth in regards to color. It's not broken up by a random black head.

Here is a link to it

Oh sweet, I'm glad I ran into this thread. I've been debating buying one for a week now but I can't decide if it would make it look even worse or not. Can you get a few more pics of it? Based on the one you posted I think I like it!

I was debating what to do as well. So I decided to remove everything.

Thanks for the heads-up on this. I've been wanting to do something about the antenna; this is a little on the pricey side but a lot better looking than the "shark fin" cover that one sees all over the place ( http://calponycars.com/2005-2013-mus...t-051-449.html )

Sakol did the ideal way of getting rid of it. But more money but that does look fantastic

Lol!! Yes! From reading your posts, I feel this is a major accomplishment. I think you'll like it. While I believe you are pickier than I am, it just looks right.

You should go post that picture of it on your car on AM and claim that 5.00 credit.

I sent them the picture. I guess they have to verify it isn't a picture of aliens having sex with a donkey on a trampoline before they post

There was a request for more pics from another poster. I don't know how to multi quote from my iPhone.

Tap it like you would normally quote and check that white box to the left of every quote you want to quote.

Well, I'd been planning to remove and paint the antenna myself.

However, adding together the cost of paint, primer/adhesion promoter, clearcoat, spray equipment and a new antenna to replace the one I screw up trying to paint it...the MMD is by far the lesser expense.

So I just ordered it. Thanks, Mr. V.

I have a black stripe that goes through this area so the black antenna actually works for me but this is a great alternative for those who don't have a stripe.
