Might have screwed up rim choice.
They do look good but when you are going for a grabber blue/black theme these don't really fit the bill. Every picture you see prior to buying these rims have them looking pretty dark. Obvious lighting scam.
I have a 2012 Candy Red 5.0 and was going to do those wheels and some cyber gray metallic stripes. So glad I waited. Looks like I am going to go with the Dolphin Gray Avant M310's instead. Did you see the ones on the Z06? One of the wheels does not even match the others.
I have been a lurker for a few weeks now and decided to register when I saw this post. Sorry for the news. They do look good but just not what I was expecting.

Yea apparently they cannot guarantee color matches with this finish. No 2 sets of rims will look alike finish wise. I am very disappointed. I can always have them powder coated matte black or something.
this is the reason they stopped making this color 3 years ago.
I thought they resolved the issue and brought it back. Nope.

I mean it's not like they are $100 wheels..
They have trouble with their painters/powdercoaters sometimes. I happened to get an amazing set of wheels, but I've read many...many others not being as lucky.
Well it's not hard to get a paint match close to black whether it's a machine painting them or an individual. Honestly the qc would be better if being hand painted because you would know as you were painting them that the color wasnt right.
That's the pic I saw, couldn't find it again.
The paint is not a single stage, it's similar to the Brembo wheels, the paint is laid black, and then misted over. It's why you really really don't want to mess a wheel up, because then you're screwed.

Just makes me wonder how a company can allow something like that to go out the door. Mine are due for delivery today. To say I am nervous is a very large understatement.
