Pretty sure that if I die and go to hell, my punishment will be me tied to a chair, helpless as my car hood is being hood pin drilled.

LMAO!!

i didn't want to either but there's some good stretches of quiet highway (until i get there) where i can open it up. The flaring of the hood is very unnerving!
reminds me of my dog in the passenger window of my truck, jowls flaring in the wind

I believe those are Aerocatch latches.

Probably not too hard, they are made of a very strong plastic. I wanted to do the same for the inner pins but found they make white Aerocatch.

so when you install the hood pins, do you remove the stock hood latch or keep that too?

I have heard both. You'd still want something mid-hood, and the stock would be good for that. alternatively, remove the stock one and add another 1 or 2 hood pins in the middle.

Kept the stock latch till I can buy 2 more locking pins.
