The bulb is a D3S I believe, I swapped the bulbs out on my 13' for 5000K ones so they would match the LED fog ligts better and it wasn't that easy. First there is a clip you have to undo to allow the bulb to be removed then you have to pull out firmly on the bulb by the base to get them to come out. There are what I would call "fingers" of metal all around the opening that the bulbs sort of plug into then they fold inward as you install the bulb or come outward as you remove the bulb. The passenger side has very little room behind it to get my meaty mits in and you have to remove the airbox to get to the drivers side one. I ended up removing the front bumper and the headlights to replace mine because I couldn't figure out where the @#$% clips were and how to remove them since your doing it blindly by feel. I didn't want to break anything or bend those metal "finger" tabs because I imagine a replcement headlight is a small fortune, and if you bent one of those metal tabs, I imagine the bulb would not seat correctly.

I have changed mine twice. First to some after market 5k ones which kinda sucked as for vision, and then eventually went back to the stock OEM ones as nothing was as good as them. They were pain in the butt to change, as stated above, and i don't look forward to having to change them in the future.
