I would keep it. It's what sets the CS apart

I agree. As soon as I find a reflective one ala the original Boss 302, mine will be replaced.

It's just a CS though. An appearance package. It's not a Boss or GT500.

In the end, do what you want to do OP.

^this +1 I agree 100% the stripe is very subtle on blk on blk. I would keep it. I just hate when I wax the car and it gets in between the crevices. Besides that I like the stripe.

I'd leave it. I have a black gt/cs myself and I also had an 08 white vert.
On the black the stripe is a very unique accent. I'm attaching a link to my car and you can see how the light effects how the stripe appears..or doesn't depending on the light. Scroll down to the pics on bottom of first page to see what I mean.

I've thought about the same thing but I chose to keep it. Makes it that much more unique

Keep it original. The stripe is cool and looks good on the c/s.

When I first got my 2009 vapor silver CS, I thought about losing the stripe. So glad that I kept it. Like the others posted, it really sets this particular Mustang apart from all the others. And yes the production numbers for the CS
are interesting. See the gtcsregistry. I know the stripe on the black CS is subtle, however I did see a black CS with a silver stripe. Found out it was a custom decal. Looked completely factory. Very sharp. Might be an idea to give it some more time and leave it for now until you know for sure.

I agree, I removed mine this morning and painted some chrome 5.0 badges black and it turned out great.

While i'll agree your car does look sweet, it looks like every other GT out there. I personally like the stripe, it breaks up all the white or other color. Thats why i kept mine on my GB Cali. Please don't hate me cause i have an opinion.

no hate I liked the way it looked but as far as appearance with my car it wasnt going to work with what im doing next. I'm having the rocker panels, front and rear valances painted to match the car then adding the roush side splitters and boss front splitter (but leaving those pieces black) next weekend. I can always add the stripe back if this doesnt turn out how im thinking too I also have a set of 20 inch boss 338 wheels im putting on too. After that and some windows louvers I should be set.

I'm thinking of one day maybe removing it and getting it custom painted on. In the case of "its just a CS" i can't believe there is so much hate inside a car community. Once i throw this kenne bell on mine i dare a GT500 to just roll up and say "its just a 5.0"....dang it he just dusted me off...lol!

Sounds like the plans for your car are sweet! Please post up pix when you get it done. Thanks for not being Butt-hurt.
