Posted some photos in the PW color section, but in case anyone is interested in how the 3D Carbon Eleanor front grille looks, I installed it about a week ago and now have some photos.

Most difficult part of the process is getting the original grille off. There are 2 tabs at each end that want to break off if you're not careful. I guess if you're just ditching the original one anyway, damaging it won't matter that much. Moving the driving lights over is a snap.

I'm completely satisfied with the part in terms of quality and fit: and it gives the car a slightly different front end than other 2010-12's out there.

what is it?

 

Looks to be the stock hood that has lettering added to the power dome.

 

Correct Sir: Hood is stock Ford with some vinyl graphics on it that I got fromand Ebay seller. Detail photo attached.

Am thinking about putting on American Muscle silver "Super Snake Style " stripes to give it some color. Any thoughts on that ?

What you need is one of those decals for the driver's side mirror. The one that says

Objects in mirror are losing!

Looks nice. Why is it called an Eleanor front grille? Eleanor didn't have any lights in the upper grille.

Because - well - manufacturers are stupid. The grille in question (from 3DCarbon) is actually a throwback to the early 1967 Shelbys, which "Eleanor" is purported to be in the movie (even though everyone knows better). Example:

Nobody in their right mind would that abomination of a body kit onto a REAL Shelby.
