i owned a 70 fastback 4 speed ,1970 383 cuda auto, 70 1/2 camaro 4 speed,72 trino sport auto,72 javelin 4 speed,72 mustang coupe 4 speed,1990 gt 5.0,and others all with race mods of the day.and none of them felt as good going top speed as the 2011 mustang of today.so in a way 2011 v6 mustang is boss.buy the way all the cars was mid to upper 12 second cars

Larry Shinoda rolls over in his grave.
Actually he'd probably be proud of the performance of the V6, but the Boss nomenclature is for the top performing track car. The best of the Mustangs around the track. Not some entry level model. But hey it's your money. Doesn't make it cool though.

i dont think my stock 2011 v6 performance package mustang will compete with a 1970 race tuned trans am boss 302. think it would hang with if not beat the 7000 stock 1970 boss 302s that wore the boss badge.so i disagree with 2k7gtcs.so maybe boss is not out of the question for someone that wants to put it on there 2011+ v6.i remember when i was a kid and i smoked a new 1979 vet with my 70 1/2 camaro and almost got beat up by the sore sport.im wondering if any of you 2011 v6 haters was that guy.haha

I think you're misunderstanding and getting your panties in a bunch. Nobody's hating on the V6s. The OP asked for an opinion. We're giving one; but the topic at hand isn't what we feel about V6s, we're talking about colour schemes and badging. And whether it is "proper" in our own opinion for "any" car other than a "real" Boss (or Cobra) to wear Boss (or Cobra) badging. I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for myself when I say that were it a GT I'd have the exact same attitude.

Had to google parnelli jones, that dude is like from last century haha
Now that I understand where that term comes from, I see no reason not to put boss, when the meaning because it looks like the boss of the road (from documentary)
its just if I put 302 would be misleading which I won't do from the beginning anyways

Gonna have to say no to "BOSS" lettering anywhere. IMO regardless of the car model or manufacturer, if I see a car with the badges/emblems/body parts from a top of the line version and not much else on a lower trim level version of the same car - it says "poser" to me. But hey, do what you like - who's gonna stop you?

this is so played out even this ugly car has a piece of it, but i guess the coyote crew can have a factory 5.0 turbo opinion

I'm all for putting body parts used on the Boss on any Mustang (save for the GT500), but going with a stripe package that mimics it in any way just doesn't make sense IMO. Without rehashing what others have said, you're asking for attention you may not want. But hey, its your cash.
