Black headlights

I have a 2011 mustang and I have the factory hids. I've been looking online for anyone that makes a factory style 2010-2012 hid headlight that is black. I really don't want the halos. Do any of you know of any options that I haven't been able to find?

I originally wanted just black housings with HIDs for my mustang before I got the smoked halo headlights that I have now.

Basically the conclusion that I came to is no aftermarket company makes a projector headlight without a halo ring, and if thats what you want, you need to have custom headlights made by someone who does projector retrofits. Because you already have factory HID's it should be a little simpler for you. Just find someone that does retrofits, (I think there's someone on this forum who does them) and talk to them about what you want. They can take apart your stock light and paint the buckets black if thats what you want.

If that's the case then I'll have to look into that. I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't weary about cutting open my lights so do you know if I go that route is it probable that my lights will gather condensation

There's actually a couple guys on here who have done it already. One had a SG GT with matte black stripes...try searching the SG section.

I wouldn't switch to anything aftermarket. Your headlights now are engineered for the best possible lighting. Those aftermarket headlights, are not at all, and your nighttime vision will suffer.

Raxiom now makes a black housing for factory HIDs and if u don't want the halos, u can simply bypass the step to making them work... As Divadanielle said, u will not get as good light output as u would from factory...

if I did it again, I would bake them instead of cutting them. that was a major PITA.
