But why would you want to remove it? I never understand why people ask that question. It works. Why remove it.

I would assume after several years of slight fade from sunlight & oxidation in the unprotected section, there may be a slight difference when you remove it. But if it were me, the only reason I'd remove it is if it became badly damaged - but then I'd immediately replace it with new. A good installer can match the pattern. Just had it done cause my RF fender was repainted from key marks and the local installer matched the other side perfectly - and insurance covered it!

I've had clear bras put on my last 8-9 cars over the past 5 years.
Worth the money.
It definitely saves the front of your car from getting dozens and dozens of rock knicks and chips across it.

I was told by a local installer of the 3M CB, that it would be a waste of money to do the bumper because it is a different kind of plastic and will resit chips on it's own.

Any opinions on this?

I paid $625.00/tax for dealership paint seal and interior seal. The product is called Enviro-Guard. They guarantee against chips and other stuff. Has to be re-applied every 7 years, however that is included in the price.

did a search on clear mask and found this thread. Thanks guys. It will be on my new 'stang immediately. I've had it on my '06 Chevy Duramax since new, and it's been terrific. Before road trips, I try to wax the clear bra, then the bugs come off easier later. I can't see any reason to ever remove it.

Looks like it might cost $700 to $1000 to do the front 18", front bumper, front of front fenders, mirrors and splash areas...maybe rockers, too. I saw a clear bra on a grey metallic porshe turbo, and it was flawless. The installer wrapped as many edges as possible, so there were few film edges to see, and no relief cuts that I could find. That's gunna be who does mine..

the new one just came out a few weeks ago. Costs 25% more, but the warranty jumps up from 7yr to 10yr!!!!! Get this, the new design is SELF HEALING!!!!

Check out the vid. They scratch it with a wire brush, pour hot water on it, and the scratches go away. Nanotechnology at its best.

My girlfreind just had the 3M clear bra installed on her 2012 Fiesta. Hood, front fenders, front bumper, A-pillars, 4" strip on roof above windsheild, rockers, mirrors, all four door edges done, and by the trunk where you load items in. Not the first time I used this installer and he charged $750

My buddy owns a high-end custom vinyl shop in Jersey--works on SEMA cars, etc. Find one of those and they can cut the vinyl specific for the application.

This is a pic of my focus from my HS/College days. The vinyl on there was on the car for ~ 4 years. I removed it before i sold the car and there was NO indication of paint fade or any sort of line. And that was with black vinyl. So I would say with confidence you'll be fine.
