After seeing the tail lights in action, I like them less.......and I didn't care for them from the start.

Yes, it can be done, but requires a new hood, grille, and other misc. components.I believe it's a bit more involved than the 05-09 Shelby front end.
If you look at the straight on rear shots, it appears that the 'kink' on the inner most lamp chamber is gone. This makes sense as a possible design change, since the rear fascia was also changed as well. Instead of retooling sheet metal, a bumper change would be a far more cost effective solution.

The angle of the kink in the taillight when looking at the rear head on is what can be seen as the difference leaning people to conclude the bumpers would need to be changed.
