2013 mustang rear bumper suggestions.

so I am the third registered owner of my 2013 5.0 with 5k miles on it...

I got hit 5/25/13 (my birthday)

and wasnt sure if I should have insurance fix and report it as a wreck... or have the guy pay outright which he wanted to

any other suggestions would be nice as well

I was considering collecting the cash from him and using a marker to fix it because its really not that bad

Easy fix.

Also Depends on how much he's paying but the respray will cost you at least 300.

Don't use a marker please.

You're not at fault so it's not going to harm your record, so the insurance reporting isn't a problem. Provided you trust the guy to follow through, you can choose either option. I did this same thing once and got three estimates, then made the guy pay me the middle amount.

He's not at fault, but an accident is an accident, and his insurance company could still raise his premium. If it were me, I would get a few estimates and have the guy pay cash out of pocket, then fix the bumper on my own time so I didn't have to wait for him to follow through.

just get him to pay for the damage and call it a day. accident is still an accident and if it gets reported, will still go on your licenses...and the car's history report (carfax). try Dr. colorchip. may actually fill in those spots. easy $300-$350 to respray, like getportfolio said.

and if you have a deductible, you will still have to pay that out of pocket.

I've had five accidents between my wife and I in the past seven years (all the fault of other drivers so all on their insurance), and our rates have never increased. If they do, your insurance company sucks.

There are a lot of factors, I was just saying that if the accident is reported he can't guarantee his rates won't increase... I would say you've been lucky to not have your rates increased. It doesn't matter whose fault they've been, 5 accidents in 7 years is a lot.
