2011 faux gas cap replacement question.

Gonna delete that faded decklid panel, but how wide is the bump under the emblem?

Is it as wide as the new emblem?

Looks like it should set flush on the bump

Mounting side is same width as the current cap.

The Faux cap that goes over the bump actually goes over the bump, side shot from my 2010.

Promising but not quite, for me.

Just checked mine and the OEM emblem doesn't have any kind of ring to cover the bump.

I'm lacking the ring that I've seen around the emblem that sits flush with the curve in the decklid.

This is for a Convertible but you can see the difference, it is not a ring it is part of the cap.

I believe that is the Ford rear panel and the Faux Cap was different on them.

Yep, which means I'll need to find that one somewhere. Really wanted to go with the one I'd bought after removing that panel, because the look is so much cleaner now.

See what I mean?

Base model emblem part number is AR3Z-6342528-A, and it's ~$260 at the dealer. New online is looking like $170, so I'll wait and see if the trunk emblem surround I ordered from AM will pair with the emblem I bought and fit right. Will find out tomorrow!
