2010 hood scoop

I am having trouble getting a hood scoop installed on my 2010 mustang GT. The body shop tells me that this hood scoop is known for not fitting properly after they sold it to me and installed it. The addhesive is letting go and the front of the hood scoop is seperating from the hood. Has any one heard about this problem before?

Scoops seperating isn't unheard of. What type of scoop is it? You can try taking it off, using an adhesive promoter on the scoop side and use some 3M doublesided tape from autozone etc. You can always bolt it in if you don't mind holes in your hood.

If you want a scoop on a 2010+ then the Factory scoop is the way to go .. it's held on by 3M tape + 4 bolts + 5 fasteners ... lots of holes but it won't come loose.

you can't expect a stick-on hood to stay on if you're not going to bolt it on like the factory scoop does. It will only be a matter of time before that thing becomes a projectile.

Yep...factory scoop is the only way. No issues to 100+mph.
