No offense to your product, but given what I've seen...I still advise doing it yourself, as I plan to. Whether it be plastidip/VHT/etc...

Have at it. I have my perfect tail lights. I'm happy. If others want them, I'm making them available to them. Easy as that.

The camera doesn't show how amazing these are at all.

The last one shows the side view. This is why I would recommend the tail light trim bezel thing.

Agreed. If people want them, then go for it. I'll be excited to see them for '05-'09. But if they cost $80, then save it. Let me know when they're less than $20.

I think it's pretty interesting. Its not going to Hirt for someone to make a few bucks. Just like everything else in the market, people are going to find ways around paying for it. It's always going to happen.

I'm charging $50. Not $80.

Between my time spent designing these, and the cost to make these, it is well worth the $50. I'd pay more if someone else would've done all of the work for me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of cost of a product. I'm going to get that when I post a something like this on a public forum.
Hopefully, enough people will like it, to negate the negative comments.

Would it be just as beneficial to plasti around the outside edge prior to applying the vinyl instead of buying the plastic bezel, or would the quality not be as good?

That is definitely an option. You would just have to be right on the edge. (the plasti dip is flat black, unless you spray the clear for a glossier look. The overlays are gloss black unless you order a different color.)

should have had them made in a satin black and a matte!!! that way people with any other color besides black who have a tail light pannel can choose what color they want based on the rear of the vehicle....

also to start selling you have to become a forum vendor which cost a few 100 bucks a month I believe! also should do a market research before trying to generate some kind of market to go towards.. Just some sudgestions!

I am sorry but the very last pic of post 86 makes it look cheap... Esp from a passerby. I know the 13s obviously don't have the light coming through the trim, but they also, don't create that "floating" black cover look like that last pic it makes it look tacked on. Again, I respect the amount of work you did, but IMO, I don't care for it.

I can print these in any color.

And as far as selling....I'm not looking to make any kind of real money off of these. I'm just looking to share my idea with everyone else.
And as for my price, that is the market on something like this. The tail light tint is the same price, and this falls under the same category.

I needed to show from every angle, and I had said in several past quotes that these don't cover to the very edge of the light. It leaves a ring around the edge. That is where my suggestion of the tail light trim bezel from places like AmericanMuscle has, comes into play. That covers the space, and finishes the effect. Also plasti-dip was suggested by another user, that would do the same thing. I am not going to offer something to someone, and not show them what they are getting. I know I'd be upset if I was expecting it to cover the whole light, and it didn't. I'm just making people aware visually. My overlay is just a cheaper alternative to the '13 style lights, until something else better comes out.
Thank you for your comments either way!

Yes, and I respect you for that. You are straight up. Our communication exchange is an example how two people can have differing opinions about something, yet still maintain civility and respect despite it. Not many people on here can do that. Kudos.

I have never seen a reason to get butt hurt over words people say. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. We are all human, with differing opinions on everything. I appreciate the honesty from people. I'm a young guy, but I understand how the world works to a certain degree. Thanks again FromZto5!! And as I've said in the past, bada$$ car!
