I'm out of town until Monday, so I should be then that I have them installed!

For everyone interested in getting my overlay, AmericanMuscle has the MMD MATTE BLACK TAIL LIGHT TRIM **ON SALE** right now for $99!! I would highly recommend getting these to finish up the look of the tails. If not you'll have a ring of red on the outside like with the tail light tint.

Looking at your original pictures, I'm thinking smoked taillights would help to complete the look. The reverse lights on the 13's aren't very apparent so darkening the lenses a touch would help to pull it all together IMHO.

With my design, I wanted to do a design similar to the '13, but that was still obviously '10-'12.

I personally don't like the reverse lights being covered, so I'm sticking with this design. Plus I'm not selling tint, I am selling a vinyl overlay. I'm looking for an affordable solution until the price of the '13 tails come down.

Thank you for the idea though, in the future, I might change it up a little bit.

No worries. Maybe something for others to think about as well. I like the idea of compromise though.

Is really no different than a guy purchasing a tail light tint which seem to be a very popular thing with almost ALL vehicles. gts covers, nite shade, painting the rear backup light, etc..etc.. all same. Now with that said, I would rather prefer much more of what youngstang is doing. At least this is not covering the whole tail light which I personally know is definitely a ticket waiting to happen here in maryland. I'm definitely willing to give it a try until raxiom or whoever come out with 2013 style tails.

Now, hurry the hell on youngstang

I know. I'm getting really frustrated with my vinyl shop. About to look for a new company to use. I'm a young guy, so I think they thought I was kidding when I told them I might eventually be ordering sooo many for all of you guys and gals.....I'm giving them until Friday before I go elsewhere.

I would definitely recommend professional installation. I've never laid vinyl before, so I have a couple of bubbles and creases. But past that, it looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

My car is filthy, and I only have 1 side done so far. ZERO bleed from the lights. Light Only shows through openings. Reflectors are easily seen. Let's out TONS on light. I have the gloss black vinyl on my car, and it's a perfect match to my black paint. Gonna go get the other side done. I will probably get another set printed up, and get them professionally installed, but I'm sooo happy with how it looks right now.

I will have the new thread started tomorrow. More pics in the day, and all the details needed to order!

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS REMAINED INTERESTED IN THIS!!! I HOPE YOU LIKE IT AS MUCH AS I DO!

There is still the red around the edge just like with the tint if you order it. Light doesn't show from behind. You have to be beside the car to see any light from around the tail.

Well, do you still have your factory tails? You could always have both, and change depending on your mood. lol
