13-14 GT Trunk Help

So I think I'm about to trade trunks with another 14 GT like mine because I have the GT/CS spoiler that he wants and he has the normal lip that I want. For some reason, my dad thinks that the two trunks might not fit each other's car correctly and may have to be adjusted. The two trunks should more or less just be a direct bolt on and should fit fine right?

There is plenty of adjustment to get the trunk to fit correctly. No it won't just "bolt right in", you'll need to line it up correctly and do some adjusting.

Otherwise the trunks will be identical. I can assure you both trunks came off the same presses and assembly lines, there will be minimal variation.

You will be fine, I swapped my stock 13 trunk lid for one with from a GT500. No issues with alignment.
