Flame-suit on... I know some people paid over $100 for those badges back in the day lol
That's because you're probably too young to know about (or remember) the history behind the badge. The first time I saw one was on a 427 A/C Cobra. The $100 version is put on the new Shelby cars, and the cost is closer to $130. The badge in the OP is the original style from the 60's. I certainly like the new version, but paying $130 for it is beyond ludicrous.

I had some Vinyl "MAYHEM" badges made....Now I just have to decide where I want them....If I dont like them its a simple matter to remove them and it was worth the $20 it cost me to try them out.

I am not big on badges, but the newer powered by ford badges spoke to me. Yes they are Shelby related, but do not say anything about Shelby or displacement:

The only problem with these is that the color fades. I'm not sure of quality within the last couple years...but the ones I had on my '09 faded within 6 months....and that was ordered from Ford Directly.

I went with the 3.7 Cyclone badges. Kind of a ripoff of the 5.0 Coyote badge. I think it looks good. I have never been a fan of the big 3.7 badges. These are much more subtle. They also make them in blue depending on your color scheme.

This one doesnt fade AFAIK. It's been on the car for over a year and still looks new. I'll try to find a link.

Well that's good to hear. The ones I had were awful. That was also awhile back, so they may have just had a bad batch made.

Can you tell me where you got that sweet 3.7 Cyclone badge? I may have missed it in this thread if you did mention it, but if you could point me in the right direction, it would be most appreciated.

eBay. It's $14 with shipping for two badges. They are super cheap. They are made of aluminum too and have been holding up nicely. I live in Phoenix and the summer is brutally hot. No fading or anything. I've had them since December and they look as good as the day I bought them.
