I'm interested in a tune. Seems hopeless with my auto tranny tho.

I have a full tank of 87 in right now so I can't use the 89 tune yet
You really don't notice the different tones of the tint on my windows. Haha I was excited when mine was coming in (keeping a eye on that shipping tracker) haha and oh yeah true. Before I order the tune I was running 91 for awhile to flush out some 87 that may be in there.

I ran a 93 Performance on my 2010 V6, the difference between it and the 87 was night and day. I was also getting a little over 27 MPG with it with a 70/30 Split on highway and city.
I was doing better on the 2010 for MPG than I have been on the 2013

The tune on the Auto wakes it up more than a Manual, it changes your shift points where we with manuals are shifting where we find the power already.
It will also have firmer shifts as well.

Those tunes tend to adapt better with a manual. While you can change shift points in an auto, firm shifts.. The differences are marginal at best.

So with the 2010 mustang pulling more MPG then your 3.7. That's something different. Ha what gears you got on your 2013?

that's when you get the most out of the tune because they mess with your shift points !

I have a manual so I'm just after the little umph and some more MPGs

Awh crap it was answered already. Well I'll stick to the 89 for now since gas is so much. Yep the tracking better update and say it's here a day early, I wish.

Ha don't you just hate when that tracking thing is off by a day? Anything I buy from AM takes exactly 7days

Hardly a cut. More like a scratch with a dull fingernail of a four year old. Lol

Seriously, you can change the shift points and firm up shifts in an auto. Not dissing it. The difference is small unless you have other bolt ons like CAI, gears, larger throttle body. That hikes up the price. With gears and a tune in a manual, you will notice a entirely different car!

You can teach the auto how to re-think but it still needs to be able to compensate in other areas. Translation-more money. That's what I meant.

I'm not just talking out of my hole either. I've used several hand held tuners on my stangs over the years.. I even used a Diablodport Predator on my beloved Saleen (auto) Mach 1 (manual) , 01 GT auto, and other relatives mustangs. Just my opinion.

Id like to diffuse this by asking what separates an AM Bama tune from any of their other competitors?

We all know SCT tuners will leave you thumbing for a ride.

what separates them is because everyone knows them so they just go with them, I wanted Steeda to tune my car but they're pricy so I passed on them. I will give bama a shot and see where it goes since tons of people praise them since the new update.

Well I have a manual with 3:31 gears and a CAI so I'm hoping your statement is true and I will feel a new car!

Why'd you get an auto? I ask because you don't sound satisfied with it.

The 2010, V6 Auto with the stock 3.31 on an all highway trip would eek out almost 31 MPG (30.8), and was always between 26-27.5 going to and from work.
2013 V6 Manual with 3.31 was 29 MPG (28.9999) on the same trip and is between 25-26.5 going to and from work.
At this point with the 2010 (6200 miles) it was already getting its best mileage.

The stick shift just feels faster, I dont know why. torque? and you feel more connected and in control of the car.

The auto is easier as I've gotten older. I can text, eat, and do whatever else with the free hand. Lol

Omg don't call it quits yet until your arm falls off

If you're upgrading to the 2015(downgrading maybe, we will see what they come up with) get a manual!

Yeah I rented a '13 auto stang and it felt like a boat so I almost got the v8 for that reason but then ended up getting a premium performance package v6 for the same price if not a little cheaper than a bare bones v8

Car said im getting 22 mpg now instead of the typical 17 but its probably the computer just readjusting

When i go from the 87 to 89 to I go from 87 to stock to 89 or just straight from 87 to 89

Do the math yourself to get a more accurate reading then the computer. The computer usually is off from what you may actually be getting. Then for your question that is a good question I am not sure and the instruction that come with it does not say:/
