Shorty headers vs LT headers
Shorty headers vs LT headers
I want to put headers on my 2014 mustang v6 manual but I don't know the difference between shorty and Long tube headers. Which ones are better?
Yes, because they relocate the cats, which is a big no-no. That said, new cars don't need to be smogged until 5 years so...
I just wouldn't want to deal with that headache, even if once every 5 years. It's not worth the 20-30hp to me. These cars are already way too fast for the street. I'd just throw a supercharger and catback on, and call it a day.

If you want performance, go with the headers. The shorty's are a pain to install, but they'll improve your sound and power at a cost of $400 + install. A good pair of axle backs can easily run you $600 + install and will only change sound (although good can be rather subjective)
Well don't tell them where I live ha. I didn't know. My day is done I've learned something new.
