Resonators
I have a 2012 pony package with an automatic. I recently installed some MAC axle backs. While I like the way they sound at idle and and high RPMs they drone terribly between 2-3k.
So my question is, has anyone experimented with aftermarket resonators installed ahead of the mufflers in front of the axle? I am looking for a way to cut out allot of the drone.
My car doesn't have factory resonators and it does have a factory x-pipe.

I've done a lot of research on resonators but have yet to pull the trigger... too busy to do any mods. But I came to the conclusion that these are the best money can buy;

Planned on installing them just before the AB

Thanks for the responses. Got the car on the lift tonight and confirmed that yes it has factory resonators just after the cats. There is a merge that connects the left and right side of the exhaust. Not a classic H pipe and not quite an X pipe either. Actually it pretty much looks like the picture XEDES posted just dirtier.
There appears to be enough space to install 20" long round resonators ahead of the 90 degree bends in front of the axle. At this point I decided that this would have be a project for another day and I have put the stock mufflers back on.
