I found this cool bracket to hold the nitrous filter.

Basically we were trying to get to 20 ft lbs of rotational force (new bearing preload) and didn't get over 12 lbs before the pinion snapped. In order to tighten the nut you must hold the pinion with a pry bar and use a huge ratchet or breaker bar.

There are no more mechanics. Assuming the lash is correct. Ring gear is too tight to the right.

Thanks for trying to help but that makes no sense at all. The lash was correct, the pinion snapped off while tightening the pinion nut trying too preload the pinion bearing. I can't imagine any scenario with the ring gear too tight to the right that it would cause the pinion to break while tightening the pinion nut.

This is how I'm setting up the fuel system to supply fuel to the new injectors, nitrous fuel line, fuel gauge, nitrous low pressure sensor and return fuel line. I mentioned before that I would be putting the fuel regulator near the tank to reduce returning fuel temps. I called aeromotive and talked to them about it. I was told that you need to be regulating the fuel as close to the injectors as possible for the most accurate pressure regulation.

This may not make much sense now, I'll get better pics and explain it more throughly later.

You can hear the "check charging system" chime going nuts. I will get some better videos later, I was putting in gears this morning and now I'm on a plane to Las Vegas for work. Not much time today.

Trans shifts great, there's more power and the car is more fun to drive.

Not a great video, I had to edit it down to 8 seconds to get it loaded on the forum.

Well the saga continues, I got the front wheels and one of them is scratched. Weld has really disappointed me, I was so excited to get these and now that's gone. I could probably live with the scratch but this wheel cost $500, so it's being sent back.

I pulled off the old intake last night, I'll get the new fuel injected manifold installed tonight.

I also installed the transmission ballistic blanket, that was fairly painless.

These turned out ok, hopefully will get them wired up this weekend. I could have done a better job sanding and painting them but for a race car this will work.

Ask for a partial refund, I could live with that for say 15-20% off.

I probably would have been ok with that too. LMR (late model restoration) I think handled this really well, they sent another wheel out today and gave me a $75 gift card. I can't really complain about that, they have been very apologetic too. I really have to recommend them, their customer service is legit

Weld on the other hand is a different story, I sent an email to them this morning complaining about the wheels and they didn't even respond.

Well I got all the fuel system plumbed under the hood, I really like how there's hardly any hoses connecting this engine haha. Fuel injected intake also installed, I still need to wire it up.

My plan is to make a video tomorrow going over the entire fuel system, it will probably be helpful to someone working on one of these. I need to install the gt500 pump in the morning.

Got the gt500 fuel pump installed, fixed 2 leaks, and adjusted the fuel pressure. The setup is working perfectly so far.

You can see the fuel supply and the added fuel return.

Steering wheel buttons, I'm thinking nitrous on the left and transbrake on the right.

I started the car, runs fine with the gt500 pumps!

Also I wired in the transbrake module, I just need to connect the button. I'll be using the wires for the cruise and stereo buttons that pass through the clockspring.
