I got the girdle installed last night and today added the gear oil. Brakes are back together, aluminum driveshaft and adjustable panhard are installed and the exhaust is reassembled.

I still need to bleed the brakes, install the new wheels and tires and adjust the panhard bar before I go for the first test drive as an automatic.

You'll have to have a driveshaft safety loop?

According to the NHRA rule book I only need the front driveshaft loop with a one piece driveshaft, which is there. I had a second driveshaft loop in the middle but I'm going to leave that off now, adds quite a bit of weight.

This thread is EPIC. Hats off to all the work you and LEXiion have done! Truly impressive! So much so that I joined the forum to comment! LOL I saw GatorV6's post about his swap over on AllFordMustangs and he linked to this thread in his. Looking forward to hearing/seeing more about the car and about the Ecoboost battle!

Tires fit well, doesn't even stick out past the quarter panel. I'll get some better pics when I can get the car outside.

Well I've got good news and bad news.

Good news is that the transmission shifts properly and the new gear ratio seems correct for the car. It also seems to have more power, Lexiion suspected that the PCM was limiting power because it always thought the transmission was in park. Maybe it's because it has a more appropriate gear ratio for the setup, maybe it's the gearing in the trans. Whatever it is I like it, the car is really nice to drive as an auto. There so much low end torque it already feels very sporty shifting, with a tune it should be even better. More good news is the throttle works perfectly now, no more revving up on its own.

Bad news is that the new rearend gears are very noisy, so noisy that they need to be readjusted. This means I have to teardown the entire rearend again along with driveshaft and exhaust again.

More bad news, speedo still doesn't work and the epas still isn't getting a speed signal. I'm not comfortable taking the car down the track with the epas working this way. At higher speeds the steering is far too sensitive and dangerous. If we can't figure this out I may try unplugging the epas completely and using it like a manual rack.

Also my cluster is going nuts with warning "check charging system" along with a chime. We know the alternator is charging so I'm not sure why I'm getting this. With the manual it only did this when the car idled down, now it's doing it all the time.

Installed the roll bar padding and I got the 5 point harness completely installed/adjusted. I have to admit you feel like kind of a badass when you are sitting in a racing seat with the harness buckled, feels like you should be hauling a**

The nitrous is mostly installed but not wired yet. Here is where I mounted the proton nitrous solenoid, driver side strut tower. I installed the nitrous bung in to the new fuel injected manifold and all the hoses are run. I'm waiting on a few parts to do the fuel system before I can completely finish the nitrous install.

I'll be installing the fuel injected manifold soon, we will need to do some data logging before the swap to get a baseline. I sent this out to vmax motorsports amd Pete did a fantastic job porting and polishing the intake. Remember I'll be using a 5.0 throttle body which Pete drilled out the new mounting holes to match my intake. He ported the intake to match the throttle body too. He flow tested the combo and said N/A it flowed 40 cubic feet per minute more! I'll take some detailed pics of his work before installing it.

I bought this low mile take-off 5.0 throttle body for $60 off eBay, vmax drilled the holes to match the original holes in the intake. He also polished the throttle body to make it flow even better. This was much cheaper than the smaller bbk throttlebody and it's an oem part.

In order for this mod to make sense you need to port and polish the intake to match the throttle body, the throttlebody ID is larger than the ID of the intake for the first few inches. He ported my runners too for a total package. This would work for 3.7 or 3.5 motors.

Used a salvaged 3.7 engine wiring harness for the injector plugs I needed for my new intake.

I nearly spent all day installing the nitrous, this will be a good 10-12 hrs total before I'm done. Wouldn't seem that way but there's a lot of pieces to install and lots of wiring to run through the car.

The guy that helped me with the gears will be back tomorrow night to see what we can figure out with the noise. Could be simple, or it could be back to square one. He thinks that the pinion depth may be off and he's going to measure it tomorrow to see.

The black box with cooling fins is the fuel and nitrous solenoid, the round solenoid attached is for purging the system. I haven't decided where to run the purge line to. Could go the traditional route of purging in front of the windshield so it can easily be seen or I can spray it out of the driver side fenderwell.

If it took Ford 3 tries to set my pinion and gears, incorrectly, I'd assume it's not that easy. Mine still has terrible gear whine.
