Question Buying a procharger soon got a few ???'s

Hey everyone,

So I'm planning on getting a Pro-charger after my deployment ends, and I wanted to get some peoples thoughts on the matter. I have read a few threads and was wondering what people have gotten as far as:

Numbers, (HP, TQ)
Exhaust sound change,
Install: (did you do it yourself vs having it installed and how hard it was)
Does anyone know the safe amount of HP our motors can take stock before going forged internals?

And any other essential information or thoughts you think would help along the way. Should I go with the d1 or not and should I get the heli spherical or does it make a difference type things. I do plan on buying a 1 piece drive shaft, and am currently running the stock 2.72 gears until I find out if it would be even worth the upgrade to 3.33's or not. Thanks for any input I look forward to your responses.

This is a good thread to look through. Good idea on the one piece ds. Gears would be a nice addition. Either 3.31 or 3.55. Wouldn't go any higher because you might have traction issues.

I want to go forced induction to maybe pick up some more hp. Sitting in my buddies gt I like the feel. But am not ready to trade my v6 when I can get the power and fuel economy for less than buying the new car. I have looked at turbos and they seem to take alot more effort to get started and maintain.

I asked because Vortec makes a better supercharger. Much more efficient and better gains.

Vortech doesn't have a supercharger for the 3.7. And I hear that they aren't interested.

Procharger is the only one available

Dang that sucks. At least someone makes one I guess. Oh well, I guess you hands are tied to procharger.
