X pipe install help
I am looking for some advice for an Ford Racing (M-5251-MGTA) after cat x pipe install. I am having trouble getting to the clamp on the foward section of the H pipe. The bolt is tightened from the top, giving little clearance between the side of the frame and bottom of the car. I would really prefer not to have to go through unbolting the cats, starter, etc... just to get to 2 bolts... Thanks in advance...

There are quite a few threads about this subject. If you do a quick search, or even just go back to some of the older F800 threads, you'll find it. A couple had pictures and detailed information on getting the pipe on there properly.

Find a friend who has a set of these: http://www.craftsman.com/shc/s/p_101...5&blockType=L5 It makes the job a piece of cake. You may need a little penetrating lube to assist in getting the nuts to break free. If you decide to buy that set of wrenches, they will more than likely be 40-50% off next week during the Craftsman Club saver days.

I just noticed you're close to me (I'm in south Forsyth county). I've got access to a shop with a lift less than a mile from my house. If you're available Saturday morning, I can help you put it on using my tools.

I just saw this!!! I appreciate the offer, but I was successful yesterday at getting this put on. A lift would have been nice though!
